Retro Fit Nosings

Retro Fit stairs Nosings are solid stairs with slightly different shapes and less thickness that are specially made with new hardwood steps of a particular type or colour to replace a carpeted staircase. It is a flexible PVC stair with a ridged edge that can be used on vinyl, tile, laminate, wood floors or screed stairs to eliminate the risk of tripping. The edge of the floor covering is easily and inexpensively damaged by the step. It comes with grooves to provide extra traction for safety. To help with the adhesive bond. Retrofit flexible PVC stair nosing is fixed using contact adhesive and comes in black. Retro Fit Treads are used to remodel stairs when you want to remove the carpet and add a hardwood tread over the existing carpentry tread. No need to remove the existing one. Our Retrofit Treads come with either a Bullnose or Square Edge design with tread moulding already attached to the bottom.

The toe of the stairs refers to the very edge of the stair tread where we normally place our feet when walking up and down the stairs. In addition to offering a little extra space to walk on each run, carefully selected stair nosing can also help save on the overall wear and tear of walking. A stair nosing is an essential part of your stair structure, but does it serve another purpose? A stair nosing can provide additional protection to your stairwell. It overhangs the top of the tread and gives you extra room to move forward. It also helps protect the edges of your treads from damage and wear over time. Research has also shown that it improves the visibility of each step, which in turn prevents trips, slips and falls. It can also be aesthetically pleasing if you choose the right style for your home. Installing stair nosing protects the tread from wear and tear, increasing the stair's durability. A rigid stair material spreads the impact load over the entire stair and helps with future preventive maintenance and replacement costs. Each staircase consists of several single steps, and each contains a step and a riser. Add it all up, and there are many pieces and parts that make up a ladder. If you're considering a stair remodel, it can be intimidating to think about all the stair parts you'll need—not to mention taking apart and then reassembling the stair. Fortunately, there are easy stair renovation options for homeowners.
