Description
100mm Whale Tufnol Rod for Mechanical Engineering
Whale Tufnol Rod is a high-performance engineering laminate manufactured from medium-weave cotton fabric impregnated with phenolic resin. Designed for mechanical applications, this material combines structural rigidity, mechanical strength and wear resistance, making it a dependable choice for manufacturing durable industrial components.
Its laminated construction provides excellent dimensional stability and helps minimise creep under sustained mechanical loads. These properties make it particularly useful for components that need to maintain their shape when assembled under pressure. The material also offers good resistance to weathering, oils, solvents, hydrocarbons and various chemicals, supporting its use across a range of industrial environments.
