With a specific gravity of 0.91, polypropylene is lightweight while providing dependable resistance to corrosive substances, including many acids and sulphuric acid. It absorbs very little moisture and maintains useful rigidity at temperatures of up to approximately 100°C. The material is also food compliant for suitable applications, subject to the requirements of the intended use.

This versatile sheet can be processed into bespoke shapes and assemblies using conventional fabrication methods. Hot gas and extrusion welding allow sections to be joined for constructing tanks, pipework, ducting and other industrial equipment. Its affordability and resistance to chemical exposure make it a practical option for manufacturing, maintenance and specialist fabrication work.
