Description

Grey PVC Plastic Sheet 40mm Thick

The 40mm Grey PVC Plastic Sheet is a rigid engineering material designed for demanding industrial fabrication and construction projects. Manufactured from Unplasticised Polyvinyl Chloride (U-PVC), it offers a practical combination of structural strength, chemical durability and dimensional reliability for manufacturing custom components and equipment.

Its resistance to moisture, oxidation and many corrosive chemicals makes it suitable for environments where material durability is essential. The sheet also provides good electrical insulation, hardness and stability during use. Its self-extinguishing characteristics offer an additional advantage in suitable industrial applications, while its relatively economical cost makes it a valuable alternative to more expensive engineering plastics.

This material can be machined to achieve a smooth, polished surface and fabricated using compatible welding and solvent-cementing techniques. It is commonly used in chemical processing installations, storage tanks, industrial valves, pipe fittings, ventilation systems and water-handling equipment. Other applications include protective cladding, battery enclosures, templates and selected electrical insulation components.
